Ken Yocom

Ken Yocom

Ken Yocom joined the faculty in the College of Built Environments in 2008 and was appointed as Chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture Architecture in 2017. His primary areas of research focus on emerging trends in ecological design and planning, urban landscape theory, and contemporary practice. He has published numerous books, book chapters, articles, and reviews. Yocom is a two-time graduate of the College of Built Environments, earning a Master of Landscape Architecture in 2002 and his Ph.D. in the Program of the Built Environments in 2007. In his position as department Chair, Yocom is looking to continue the high-level and strong national and international reputation of the department while supporting faculty and staff to advance their investigations and learning into urban design research and activism.
