CBE’s Strategic Plan, adopted in February 2021, identified “equitable and just practices” as a main guiding pillar. Justice, equity, diversity and inclusion serve as a lens through which the college aims to cultivate an inclusive CBE culture, and teaching and research practices. The work of becoming a more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and just College of Built Environments is profound and multifaceted requiring many stewards across the college and collaboration from all members of the CBE community. CBE’s Diversity Council, revamped following adoption of the strategic plan, serves in leading the college’s EDI efforts and is developing an EDI Strategic Plan for CBE building upon and extending beyond the EDI strategies and actions set forth in the broader CBE Strategic Plan.
