The Photo Lab and Lighting Studio, Gould 019,  houses a traditional film darkroom and a studio space for lighting and shooting models, furniture, and other student work.

During regular university operations, Lighting studio staff are available to assist students photograph their work on student personal devices. The CBE Digital Commons (Gould Hall basement) has some photography equipment available for student checkout.

Access to the Darkroom is currently limited to students enrolled in either ARCH 410 or ARCH 413.”

Photography classes

ARCH 410 Introduction to Architectural Photography
Basic elements and processes of architectural photography to include camera controls, exposure technique, photo processing, and fundamental principles of photographing architecture. Student must provide own 35 mm (or larger) camera with manual operating controls.

ARCH 413 Architectural Photography Projects
Students develop in-depth photo essays relating to architecture, the urban movement, or landscape design. Lectures, seminar, and discussion. Pre-requisite Arch 410.
