This spring, the College of Built Environments wrapped up this year’s CBE Mentor Program in partnership with the UW Chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students, with a unique celebration of connection, student creativity and research.

The CBE Mentor Program helps students grow in their chosen field through one-on-one guidance, advice, and insight from a professional mentor. Pairs discuss students’ career goals and interests and then work together to pursue those goals through career exploration, networking and professional skill development.

A total of 384 students and 278 mentors were a part of the 2025-26 program cohort. On Wednesday, May 13, mentors and mentees came together in Gould Court for the Mentor Program Spring Celebration, which was held in conjunction with FrameWorks: UNITED, UNBOUND, UNSEEN, an exhibition by AIAS UW showcasing interdisciplinary student projects and research from this academic year.

The room filled with chatter and curiosity as mentors and mentees networked and learned more about the work displayed. Director of Student Services Megan Brown, and Undergraduate Architectural Design students Mara Rada and Erik Rayas gave brief remarks at the event.

“I want to extend my sincere thanks to the mentors, alumni, professionals, and community members who have served and supported our students all throughout the year,” expressed Megan, “You have had a greater influence on our students’ lives than you know. We are all truly grateful for the time you’ve spent guiding our young professionals and preparing them for what’s to come.”
