The CBE Student Council is a student-led governance organization that seeks to represent and amplify the voices of our student body and bridge the gap between students and the College’s decision-making processes. We are committed to promoting an interdisciplinary college community and enriching student life through a variety of initiatives that support students’ diverse interests and needs.
Committees
Policy and Budget Committee: This committee is responsible for reviewing CBE policies, collecting policy proposals and critiques from CBE students, and implementing student outreach regarding CBE policies and budget.
Communications and Events Committee: This committee is responsible for disseminating information about the council’s work, including internal processes and organized events, building awareness and offering CBE student community to provide input and raise concerns which the Council could discuss and represent. It is also responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of events for the students of the CBE that are hosted by the BESC.
Structures Committee: This is a special committee formed for the 2024-2025 academic year out of the necessity to create a more structured council. We have focused on the bylaws to define the various processes that the student council must follow, such as membership, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
